NWA Pride Parade

June 27, 2015, 10:00 am - 10:45 am CDT

The Northwest Arkansas Pride Parade has added color and splash to downtown Fayetteville for the past 9 years. With an annual average of over 800 participants and spectators, you won’t want to miss Arkansas’ largest pride celebration.

Our Grand Marshal for the 2015 parade is Cheryl Maples, who along with Jack Wagoner represented the plaintiffs in a historic case that struck down Arkansas Amendment 83, the 2004 voter-approved ban preventing same-sex Arkansas couples from marrying. Their passionate plea in 2014 on behalf of couples who wanted to marry, or adopt, or have their out-of-state marriages recognized in Arkansas opened the door for LGBTQ couples to marry.

  • Parade route travels down Dickson Street to the Walton Arts Center parking lot.
  • Line-up begins at 8 a.m. behind Fresco Cafe (corner of Meadow and Church), and the parade starts at 10 a.m.

Register here to march or ride on a float, or volunteer to be part of the Center’s NWA Pride Flag Brigade, the Motorcycle Club, or to participate in the Team Rainbow Dress Wedding Anniversary Float!
