We believe that everything is connected, that our bodies, minds and relationship to self and others, form a dynamic web. We believe that to heal in true and sustainable ways, all aspects of the web must be acknowledged, understood, and cared for simultaneously. We take a global view of your healing process and utilize a 360 degree approach to your treatment. Our goal is to empower you to be the architect of your own healing and health. We will work with you to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that uniquely meets your needs and supports you in achieving your goals in a thoughtful, holistic way.
Our mission is to empower victims of domestic violence to survive and thrive by nurturing their self-determination and courage; and to promote healthy relationships and compassionate communities through education, outreach, and advocacy.
Founded in 1977 by a group of community members, Peace at Home was the very first domestic violence shelter in the state of Arkansas. Our current programs include a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, legal services, support groups, counseling, and housing assistance programs. All services are confidential and free of charge for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Each year, Peace at Home supports over 1,000 individuals in the community as they seek safety and independence.
